Baki H.Maneche, Founding Partner, was initially registered with the Brussels Bar before leaving for the Middle East in 2007, initially based in Dubai, focusing on Iran work, before moving to Tehran in 2014. Baki is also fluent in French, English and Persian. Before his experience in Iran and the Middle East he has been acting as general counsel and legal manager of prominent French groups in the oil & gas, transportation and automotive industries and has been working with international law firms in France, Belgium and the USA. Prior to founding Ferdowsi Legal, he has been in charge of launching and developing the local practice in Iran of Dentons international law firm. Baki participates regularly to international conferences and made several appearances in different media to talk about Iran, international sanctions and doing business in the Middle East. Baki Maneche is more particularly active in corporate law, M&A and distribution, with a wealth of experience in dispute resolution.
Jean-Charles Albitreis, Managing and Co-Founding Partner. He is a French attorney (Avocat) at the Paris Bar and Registered European Lawyer at the Budapest Bar. He focuses primarily on M&A transactions, stock exchange law and corporate but also has significant experience in projects (infrastructure, water, energy) and construction. He worked extensively in the industry, life sciences and agri-food sectors. A specialist of emerging markets, he previously worked at Gide LoyretteNoueland Dentons. He has been involved on Iranian matters for seven years and is established in Iran since 2015, where he has been in charge of launching the local practice of Dentons international law firm with Baki Maneche prior to founding Ferdowsi Legal. Jean-Charles speaks French, English, German and Hungarian with notions of Persian.
Paul-Arthur Luzu, Partner. Previously to Ferdowsi Legal, Paul-Arthur has been an in-house lawyer for the French oil & gas major TOTAL. He has been lawyer in an international law firm, based in Paris, and in a boutique law firm specialised in competition law.
His activity covers sanctions and compliance, investments and business law at large. Paul-Arthur speaks French, English and can hold discussions in Farsi. He is involved in various professional associations and publishes articles about risk management, business opportunities and regional economic or legal issues.
Nassim Abboud, Of Counsel, is an Italian attorney admitted to the Milan Bar. She practices in the areas of commercial and corporate law with experience in international contract law, through which she has developed relevant expertise in civil and commercial litigation. Nassim has worked with Italian international law firms as well as boutique law firms operating in the sectors of fashion and luxury, supporting Italian and Middle Eastern clients. In 2016-2017, through the Iran-Italy Chamber of Commerce, Nassim advised and assisted Iranian companies that had shown an interest in the Italian market. She speaks Italian, Farsi and English and has good knowledge of French, Spanish and Arabic.
Abu ʾl-Qasim Ferdowsi Tusi (c. 940–1020), or Ferdowsi (also transliterated as Firdawsi, Firdusi, Firdosi, Firdausi) was a Persian poet and the author of Shahnameh (“Book of Kings”), which is the world’s longest epic poem created by a single poet, and the national epic of Greater Iran. Ferdowsi is celebrated as the most influential figure in Persian literature and one of the greatest in the history of literature.
